New Items

Sorry for the lack of post, but i'm back on. I just wanted this post to be about the new items I've bought.

1. The babybliss pro ceramic curling iron is my new favorite tool! I love how it curls my hair, keeps it soft and shiny! It just adds a bit more of a natural curl than using a straightner. It's easy to use and has different settings!

2. I bought the clinque 3-step cleanser and still deciding if I like it. I haven't had any trouble spots and its a great 3-step cleansing system but theres something about it that I don't love.

3. I bought a ton of nail-polishes by Finger Paints, China Glaze and Orly.

4. Dior HydraAction Deep Hydration Skin Tint SPF 20. My new favorite tinted moisturizer. I'm not a girl who loves wearing foundation so I stick with tinted moisturizer's. Dior easily blends, has great coverage BUT only comes in 3 shades and luckily #3 suited me perfectly! It's great for dry skin.

Dry Skin Care Routine

Dry skin: skin is not able to retain moisture and feels uncomfortable after washing.

There are many factors that can cause skin to be dry:
Genetics
Climate
Lack of lubrication from oil glands
Lack of Vitamin A and B.

I, myself, have dry skin and always feel uncomfortable after washing face and NEED to moisturize right after! I don't have flaky skin but it does feel tight and I know I need to moisturize all over my face.

Currently I've been using Nivea Gentle Cleansing Cream [with micro-encapsulated moisturizers, aloe vera and chamomile] for dry or sensitive skin. Its my favorite drugstore face cleanser because it adds a bit more moisture to my skin without applying a TON of moisturizer. It does have tiny pink beads that are NOT harsh to the skin.

As my toner i'm using Garnier Fresh [invigorating toner with pure fruit waters] for normal and combination skin. I bought it cause it was on sale and i'm not very picky with my toners and I just need to finish it up!

I heart my moisturizer! Korres Thyme Honey Cream [24-hour moisturising cream for normal and dry skin] Hydration. It honestly lasts for 24hrs! I wear it in the morning and before going to bed my skins feels hydrated! I've been using it for 2 months now and my skins feels fresh and appears healthy.

Overall, using these 3 different products have helped my skin. I do have trouble areas but lately I haven't had any troubles. It could be because I've been using all 3 items in the a.m. and p.m. and drinking some H2O.

Once my products are done I plan to try the Clinque 3-Step Skin Care for Normal Skin (#2). My skin doesn't flake and my forehead does produce natural oils so I decided to go for #2. Hopefully it'll work for my skin.

New to this world.

I love make-up. Can't live without all the pretty colors. Love discovering products & the quality behind them (or lack of).

This blog will contain a bi-weekly post of different make-up/beauty products that are either a hit or miss. I'll even throw in some tutorials.

There is one line of make-up that I won't go near - Lise Watier - due to allergic reaction to the product.

I hope everyone can learn something new from this blog! Enjoy :)
